My child needs to get a drivers license, what do I do?

As of 8/20/12, homeschooled minors under the age of 18 are no longer required to present a notarized DS1 form to the Georgia Department of Driver Services to obtain their learner's permit or driver's license.

If your child is applying for their license, they will need to present a current Declaration of Intent which contains a 32 unique character digital parent signature as proof of attendance.

Take a paper copy of this new Declaration of Intent containing your 32 character digital parent signature to your local Department of Driver's Services office when applying for a learner's permit or license.

Additionally, you will need to provide your child's social security card along with a birth certificate or passport, and 2 different documents that verify your residence (bills, voided check).
